When you join a teen adventure camp, you leave a lot of cozy comforts back at home. Many of these comforts that you leave behind are unnecessary, too bulky or simply not available in the woods. Adventure camp teaches you how to enjoy a simplified lifestyle. You’ll be entertained by the evening talent shows put on by new camp friends. You’ll be comforted by the sounds of a calling loon as you fall asleep. You’ll learn how to wash you hair in a bucket with water from a creek! All of this brings forth your best inner Adventuress! Some comforts from home are OK to bring to camp, like PJ’s, Pillows and iPods. Pajama’s, a “camp style” pillow, and an ipod (for group music listening in the van) are not essential to adventure camp, but, they are cozy, they remind us of home and they allow us to share our personality. Plus, without the ipod, we’d suffer through some really boring road-side-dance parties! At Alpengirl, we recognize that having a few small things that remind us of home makes girls feel a bit more comfortable and the crazier the PJ’s the bigger the prize you’ll get!
