Greater Yellowstone Adventure Camp Group 2009 - Montana
A sunny and beautiful start to Greater Yellowstone Adventure Camp today! The girls all arrived on time and well prepared for the adventures ahead. Campers were officially “checked-in” and wearing whistles and smiles when they left the airport for the campground nearby. Rafting is tomorrow afternoon, they are all excited for that, it should be sunny and hot tomorrow, a good day to spend on the water! Remember parents… no news=good news, staff will plan to call parents on the “parent call date” Monday June 29. Alpengirl Centennial Montana Base Camp

Recently I spent a full day working with Mel of Centennial Outfitters getting the Alpengirl Centennial Base Camp set up in the Centennial Valley of SW Montana! Alpengirls in MT Horse Camp, MT Photojournalism Camp, and Majestic Montana Adventure Camp will enjoy a night or two at this location, it is gorgeous and located within 1/2 mile of Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, home to one of my favorite birds, the Trumpeter Swan! We’ll sleep in our sleeping tents and 3 wall tents are set up for additional shelter and cooking. A 12 foot long wooden table with benches and a granite cutting board are set up outside for preparing and enjoying awesome “camp gourmet” meals together this summer. S’mores will be enjoyed at this fire pit; we started a camp fire during our work day to make sure the fire pit worked… Yep, warm and toasty! During this one work day alone I saw 2 moose, many antelope, many sand hill cranes, a flying trumpeter swan, 3 different rain showers followed by 3 different sunny rainbows, vase flowers in bloom, and my friends at Centennial Outfitters – Mel, Chris, Casey, Seth and Erin.
